If am not chosen in the lottery should I look for off-campus housing or just "hold tight" and hope that I am chosen from the waiting list?

During the time we start making room offers there are students who refuse their offer, miss the payment deadline or choose not to attend Concordia. When this occurs we immediately go to the Wait List and offer those students on the list any current vacancies. This process continues until students move into Residence in August. If students are concerned about being on the Wait List here are some alternative housing options they can look in to:

What do I do if I lose my keys or am locked out of my room?

Each resident is issued an access card to his/her Residence building, a key for their Residence room and mailbox on check in. Access Cards are issued by the Concordia University Security Department. Each set of keys and the access card are solely for the use of the resident and may not be lent or given to others. Furthermore, any student who attempts to gain or successfully gains illegal access to another student's room (by "carding" the door or by taking the student's keys) will be subject to sanctions up to and including eviction from Residence without refund.

A resident who has inadvertently become locked out of his/her room may request that a Resident Assistant or member of the office staff give him/her access. Should this service be abused, a fee may be implemented.

As a matter of safety, residents are prohibited from installing locks (including chain locks) of their own on bedroom, room, or apartment doors.
